Jonathan H. Freeburg, 59, of Johnstown, died April 29, 2012 at home. 
He was born June 28, 1952 in Ridgway, son of Robert M. and Shirley M. (Sundell) Freeburg. He was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Paul Freeburg, and survived by his father, his children, Chad (Jill) Davis of North Royalton, Ohio; Kelly, married to Shawn Haupt of Hagerstown, Md. and Cory Freeburg of Johnstown; grandchildren Kyra, Delaney and Alex Davis, Brandon and Dalton Haupt and Tristen Freeburg; brother Robert L. (Judith) Freeburg of Lakewood, N.Y.; and sisters Elisabeth, married to Barry Thorstenson of Ridgway, and Melissa, married to Bryon Sloppy of DuBois; and the following nieces and nephews: David (Toni) Freeburg, Willowick, Ohio; Daniel Freeburg, Union City; Matthew Freeburg, Phoenix, Ariz.; Heather (Will) Cronk, Jamestown, N.Y.; and Nicole Freeburg and Taylor Freeburg, both of St. Marys.
Jonathan was a choir director, music instructor and the church music ministry for Grove Ave. United Methodist Church and Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. He also served at numerous other area churches. 
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. Friends are invited to a memorial service at 1 p.m. May 19 at Christ United Methodist Church with Pastor Ed Scheneck, officiating.
