Johnsonburg hosts powder puff game

The Johnsonburg senior powder puff football team won 28-6 over the juniors Wednesday night at Memorial Field.

JOHNSONBURG – Johnsonburg hosted its annual powder puff game at Memorial Field as the senior students took on the junior students.
The Seniors went on to a 28-6 win over the Juniors this year. There was no score until the middle of the second quarter when the Seniors went on to score 16 points in the final four minutes of the first half. The Senior team scored first and then converted the 2-point conversion.
Rhianon Fowler scored a 70-yard touchdown for the Junior team but they missed the conversion to leave the score at 8-6. The Senior team added another touchdown at the half and took a 16-6 lead into halftime.
The Seniors scored two more touchdowns in the second half to pull away for the victory.
