Johnsonburg hires three teachers

JOHNSONBURG – The Johnsonburg Area School District Board of Directors hired three teachers during their regular meeting Thursday night.
Elizabeth Thorwart approved as an elementary teacher, placed on Master's Step 3, with a salary of $43,000 to be effective the start of the 2012-2013 school year.
Michael Tettis was hired as an elementary teacher with a Master's Step 6 at a salary of $46,000, effective the start of the 2012-2013 school year.
Mary Weaver was approved as an ESL [english second language] teacher at $23 per hour for a maximum 25 hours per week for the 2012-2013 school year.
In other business, the resignation of Andrew Yost was accepted, to be effective immediately.
Rebecca Pistner was approved as the PATHS Coordinator for the 2012-2013 school year.
A motion was rescinded to voluntarily transfer Rene Timm to Grade 1 as approved at the June 14 meeting.
The St. Marys Ambulance Service will serve as the primary provider of the 2012 football season.
