John D. Golebieski

John D. Golebieski, 69, of 313 First Ave., Johnsonburg, died on Saturday afternoon, March 17, 2012 at DuBois Regional Medical Center in DuBois.
He was born March 1, 1943 in Johnsonburg, son of the late Bronislaw and Anna Simchick Golebieski.
He married Roseanne Parisi on May 21, 1966 in Force. She survives.
Mr. Golebieski resided in Johnsonburg most of his life, since 1975, but he lived briefly in Raleigh, N.C. and in Erie.
He graduated from Holy Rosary School and from Johnsonburg High School, Class of 1961.
Mr. Golebieski had been in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed by Accu Grind of Johnsonburg for 13 years, retiring in 2008. He had worked at Keystone Carbon Co. for 11 years and Carbon City for 11 years. He had also worked at Parker-White Metal and Stackpole Carbon Co.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Church, where he was past president of the Parish Council and past chairman of the Holy Rosary Festival Committee. He was also a member of the Cursillo Movement.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Greg S. Golebieski and his wife Michel of Hershey, and Brian D. Golebieski and Karie Carruthers of Orchard Park, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Dustin M., Jason S., and Sara A. Golebieski; three sisters, Patricia Golebieski, Valerie, Mrs. Norman "Deb" Haight and Linda, Mrs. David Gigliotti, all of Johnsonburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, William Golebieski; and six sisters, Helen "Margie" Szczotka, Rita Niedzwecki, Jean Montgomery, Lois Bevacqua, Regina Golebieski and Clara Golebieski.
A Mass of Christian Burial for John D. Golebieski will be conducted at 11 a.m. at the Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. Officiating will be Christopher Barnes of St. Michael's Parish in Greenville. Interment will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg.
