Jason C. Pontious

Jason C. Pontious, 41, of 162 Cuneo Rd., Kersey, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011 in Ft. Myers, Fla., where he had resided the past three months.
He was born July 23, 1969, in St. Marys, son of Irvin Pontious of Pearce, Ariz. and Karen Fritz Pontious of Kersey. He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Marys Area High School and machinist school in Ridgway. He was a former employee of Quala-Die, Inc.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Alyssa Pontious of St. Marys; three sons, Dylan Pontious of St. Marys and Devon Pontious and Dahlton Pontious, both of Kersey; two sisters, Jennifer Anderson and her husband Edward of Kersey and Penny Pontious of Kersey; a brother, Irvin Stanley Pontious Jr. of Fryburg; a fiancee, Lynn Pichler of Kersey; nieces and nephews, Jonathan DeFrain, Jacob DeFrain, Amanda Fedorek, Jade Pontious, Jasmine Pontious; and a great-niece and great-nephew, Karmella DeFrain and Gavin DeFrain.
He enjoyed camping, hunting and target practicing and building Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Jason C. Pontious will be celebrated in the St. Boniface Church on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. James Faluszczak, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorials, if desired, can be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 707 Grant St., FL 37, Pittsburgh, PA 15219-1954.
