Jane C. Bebble Lecker

Jane C. Bebble Lecker, 96, of 318 John St., St. Marys, where she made her home with her daughter, and formerly of Elk Towers, died on Sunday, May 27, 2012.
She was born April 21, 1916 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Tierney Bebble.
On Nov. 8, 1941 in Sacred Heart Church, she married the late Leo F. Lecker, who preceded her in death on July 2, 1968.
Mrs. Lecker was a lifelong resident of the area. She attended Sacred Heart grade school and was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1935. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church for 96 years. She had been a homemaker and had also worked at Sugar Hill Dairy Farm. Throughout her life she enjoyed baking, knitting and scrapbooking. She was also a promoter of the Miraculous Medal Association. She was the last member of her immediate family. 
Mrs. Lecker is survived by one son, Michael E. Lecker and his wife Kathleen of St. Marys; two daughters, Mildred A. "Millie" Kraus of St. Marys and Genevieve L. "Jenny" Richards and her husband Harry of Ridgway; seven grandchildren, Cynthia M. Chirillo, Kathleen A. Kunes, Gary L. Kraus Jr., Laura A. Smith, Renee L. Keune, Jason L. Richards and Ryan M. Lecker; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald C. Lecker, in 1973; five brothers, William, Thomas, John, Edward and Fr. Blaine Bebble, O.S.B. (Vincent); and three sisters, Mary Bednarek, Charlotte Bebble and Patricia in infancy.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Jane C. Bebble Lecker will be celebrated at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 325 Center St., St. Marys, on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Eric Vogt, O.S.B., as celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Lynch-Green Funeral Home, Inc., St. Marys, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
