Grumley, Rams use fast start to topple Crusaders, 60-37
JOHNSONBURG – The Johnsonburg Rams (15-1) got another big night from junior Cameron Grumley en route to a 60-37 win Friday over visiting Elk County Catholic.The junior had 21 points on the night while fellow junior Cole Peterson put in 14 points.A basket from ECC senior Hank Cappiello gave the visitors their only lead of the game before the Rams rattled off a 10-0 run for a 10-2 lead early on. Senior Mitchell Holmberg cruised in for a layup just over a minute into the first quarter to knot the game. Peterson followed with a steal and layup 45 seconds later for a 4-2 lead. After Peterson came up with another steal, Holmberg scored at the six-minute mark for a 6-2 advantage. A basket from senior Quinn Luhr upped the lead to 8-2 before Grumley came up with a steal and raced down the floor for an uncontested layup and 10-2 lead.
