Freda B. Gearhart

Freda B. Gearhart, 90, of Greenville, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at Nugent Convalescent Home in Hermitage.
She was born June 22, 1921 in Richardsville, daughter of the late Fred and Lillian Pierce VanNorman. She married Orlan K. Gearhart, he preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 2010.
She was a member of the Central Community Church in Transfer. She was a member of the West Salem Fireman Women's Auxiliary where she had served as past president; the Jolly Hill Top Club; Grandmas Club; Sunshine Club; Ladies Aid Club; and the Seniors for Christ group at her church.
Freda enjoyed playing bingo but more than anything else, she loved being a homemaker and taking care of her family.
She is survived by two sons, Delbert Gearhart and his wife Sharon of Jamestown, and Bennie Gearhart and his wife Dorothy of Johnsonburg; and three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sister, Charlotte Mooney.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home in Brockway.
A Funeral Service for Freda B. Gearhart will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28 at Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home, 1033 4th Ave., Brockway. Officiating will be Pastor Phillip Beck.
Burial will follow at Riggs Cemetery in Richardsville.
