Flood cleanup continues around Ridgway

May 23, 2014

Photo by Greg Reedy – Piles of soaked items from Wednesday's flood can be seen all throughout downtown Ridgway.

Cleanup and relief efforts from Wednesday's flood continued Friday afternoon in the borough of Ridgway as restoration crews could be seen all around the borough where the flood hit hardest.
Cleanup crews were at Dan Dickinson Apartments Friday (high-rise) helping in efforts to restore first-floor apartments and the area. Crews were seen gutting many of the apartments as the floors in the first-floor residences still had muddy residue strewn about. A hallway in the first floor had to have its carpet and tiles removed due to worry about mold growth.
