Feronti shoots low round for Ridgway

Ridgway girls golf hosted an area match Tuesday afternoon at Laurel Mill Golf Course.
Ridgway was led by senior Logan Feronti as she shot a 59. Sam Carobine finished with a 73 and Shania Reitz carded a 74. Sarah Szczotka finished with a 78 as Ridgway finished with a team total of 285.
“Logan Feronti played her best round of the year with a 59 on her last home match as our only senior,” Ridgway coach Gary Gerber II said. “She has continued to improve and work hard the entire season.  She will also compete at districts on Monday along with Sam Carobine.”
Beth Renaud carded a 79 and Emily Spiers had an 83 for the Lady Elkers.
Punxsutawney led the area teams with a team score of 217. Lauren Giavedoni, Audrianna Delacour and Morgan McFarland each had 54 for the Lady Chucks.
Julia Test of Curwensville led all golfers with a score of 52.
Ridgway is scheduled to play at Curwensville for a 3 p.m. match Thursday.
