Fatal crash Thursday morning on SR 153

BROCKPORT – Area emergency crews reportedly responded to a motor vehicle crash near Cristini's Auto Wrecking along state Route 153 in Brockport on Thursday morning. The Horton Township Fire Department was called to the scene at 10:51 a.m. and the Fox Township Fire Department was then asked to respond at 11:07 a.m. The portion of SR 153 between SR 219 and SR 255 was closed for several hours as a result of the crash, and the roadway reportedly reopened around 3 p.m. When contacted by The Daily Press on Thursday evening, Elk County Coroner Michelle Muccio confirmed that she was called to the scene and that the crash did result in a fatality. Further information from the Ridgway-based State Police regarding the crash was unavailable as of press time.
