Fatal crash in Brady Township

BRADY TWP. – A 93-year-old DuBois man was killed Tuesday afternoon when he lost control of his vehicle on a snow-covered roadway in Brady Township.
According to reports, Raymond G. Young, age 93, of DuBois, was pronounced dead at the scene Tuesday along Oklahoma Salem Road in Brady Township.
According to police, Young, driving a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue, was traveling south on Oklahoma Salem Road. While descending the hill, Young reportedly lost control of his vehicle on the snow-covered roadway. The car reportedly began sliding in a clockwise direction and traveled onto the west berm of the roadway before the rear driver's side of the vehicle struck a utility pole. The car then reportedly rotated in a counterclockwise direction and traveled 19 feet before the passenger side struck two pine trees before coming to rest facing southeast.
Young was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clearfield County coroner's office. Brady Township Volunteer Fire Department and Dusan Ambulance assisted at the scene.
