Fallen firefighter honored

"Skeeter" Wildnauer Jr. from Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Wednesday morning. Wildnauer, a member of the Fox Township Volunteer Fire Department, died Saturday morning in the line of duty while responding to a traffic crash on the Old Kersey Road. Fox Township EMS vehicles brought up the tail end of the procession.

KERSEY – In a fitting tribute honoring fallen firefighter Blaine E. "Skeeter" Wildnauer Jr., of Kersey, a solemn procession was held Wednesday morning which included dozens of fire departments from four counties.
Wildnauer, 58, died Saturday morning in the line of duty while responding to a traffic crash on the Old Kersey Road. A lifelong resident of the area, Wildnauer dedicated 40 years of service to the Fox Township Volunteer Fire Department.
