ST. MARYS – Project Gifts for Elk County presents the second Antique and Classic Car Show on Saturday, July 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bavarian Hills in St. Marys.
Participants must provide a new toy at registration, and in return for the donation a commemorative pin will be given. All street vehicles are welcome; come enjoy a day of fun to support a good cause, delight in refreshments and hot dogs, and the first 50 cars will receive a dash plaque.
Sunday, July 29 will feature the motorcycle enthusiasts in the 23rd annual Motorcycle Toy Run. Registration starts at 11 a.m. at the St. Marys Walmart parking lot with the ride to promptly begin at 1 p.m. The first 300 participants who provide a new toy will receive a commemorative pin. The ride is sanctioned by Pennsylvania State Police and all local Municipal Police Departments. Riders will venture leisurely from Kersey to Ridgway on to Johnsonburg and end in St. Marys at the St. Marys Eagles on Trout Run Road where lunch, entertainment and refreshments will be provided free of charge.
Both events benefit the Project Gifts for Elk County. Project Gifts assists the less fortunate children at Christmas and other times of need.
“We have benefited as many as 400 Elk County children,” said Bob Roberts, a member of the organization’s board. “We collect toys and create bundles of toys for the kids.”
