Esther A. Piccirillo

Esther A. Piccirillo, 101, of Pinecrest Manor, St. Marys, died Monday, February 4, 2013, at her residence.
She was born August 17, 1911, in Ridgway, the daughter of the late Henry and Matilda Martinson Nelson. She married Michael Piccirillo.
Esther resided in Ridgway most of her life and was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and sang in the church choir for many years. She was also a member of the church’s Jenny Lind Chorus. Her work experience included office work at the Elliott Company and the Ridgway Y.M.C.A. She was a member of the Senior Center and served as a volunteer and a member of the Sunshine Club, a singing group. She was a volunteer in the Cancer Office for a number of years.
Esther is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Catalano of Ridgway and Rosalie Bellotti (Raymond) of Kersey; seven grandchildren, James Catalano (Karen), Laura Szczotka (David), Ronald Catalano (Jennifer), Raymond Bellotti Jr., Roberta Elias (David), Robert Bellotti, and Rodney Bellotti (Colette); and by nine great-grandchildren, David Elias (Brianna), Megan Catalano (Roger Christman), John Szczotka, Anne Szczotka, Renee Catalano, Emily Catalano, Maria Catalano, Kristi Bellotti and Kelsie Bellotti.
She was predeceased by her husband; parents; a son, Benjamin Piccirillo; a sister, Mildred Juers; a brother, Paul Nelson; and by a son-in-law, Joseph Catalano.
Funeral services for Esther A. Piccirillo will be held in the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Erik Hart, pastor of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Oakmont Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday morning for a half-hour prior to the service.
