Elkers nearly hit century mark in win over Green Wave

February 20, 2013

Robbie Byrd is guarded by Travis Wilson (22) and Thomas Walker (55) of Oswayo Valley during Tuesday's first-round playoff game. Byrd had 17 points for the Elkers in a 96-45 win over the Green Wave.

The only question left by the time the fourth quarter rolled around Tuesday night was not who was going to win but whether Ridgway would hit 100 points.
The Elkers came close.
Ridgway scored over 20 points three of the four quarter en route to a 96-45 win over Oswayo Valley Friday night in the first round of the District 9 Class A boys basketball playoffs.
All 13 players scored at least two points for the Elkers with Jesse Reynolds leading the way with 21 points. Robbie Byrd tallied 17 points and Sam Roselli finished with 16 points. Tony Leithner had 11 points for the Elkers.
