Ridgway boys basketball used a 17-0 second half run to pull away from the Kane Wolves en route to a 63-43 victory Wednesday night as part of Senior Night.
Kane had kept with the Elkers in the first half and trailed 34-30 entering the third quarter. The Elkers then scored 17 straight points to bulge the lead to 21 past the midpoint of the third quarter.
"The defensive effort in the second half was there," Ridgway coach Anthony Allegretto said. "In the first half, I can't say the effort wasn't there in the first half, the intelligence wasn't there. We just were going through the motions of all the little things. We played hard up and back but we didn't play smart. We had a little chat about that at halftime."
