Eileen R. Catalano

Eileen R. Catalano, 82, formerly of Kaul Avenue, St. Marys, died peacefully and with her family by her side on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011 at Elk Haven Nursing Home.
She was born in St. Marys on Oct. 13, 1928, daughter of the late Fred and Eleanor (Zimmett) Caseman.
On March 31, 1948 she married Albert A. Catalano. He preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 2003.
She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School.
She worked many years at Stackpole and later was a volunteer in the Hospitality Shop at the Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of Queen of the World Church, where she was a longtime choir member and active in the Cursillo. She was also active in the C.M.F., the North Central PA Slovenian Polka Boosters, and the area Boy Scouts, where she once was a den mother. She enjoyed bowling and crocheting.
She is survived by four sons, David A. Catalano and his wife Cindy of St. Marys, Timothy J. Catalano and his companion Janet of Hickory, N.C., Kenneth P. Catalano of St. Marys, and Daniel A. Catalano and his wife Mary Ellen of St. Marys; two daughters, Judith A., wife of Charles Cole of St. Marys, and Mary Louise R., wife of Michael Maloney of Ridgway; a sister, Mary Lovett of St. Marys; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and James Caseman, and two sisters, Alice and Marie Caseman.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Eileen R. Catalano will be celebrated at Queen of the World Church at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, with the Rev. Michael Ferrick officiating.
Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael Street, St. Marys.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Nurses, 757 Johnsonburg Rd., St. Marys, PA 15857.
