Edward P. Eukon

Edward P. Eukon, 72, of 938 North Broad St., Ridgway, died Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh following a brief illness.
He was born April 4, 1939 in Ridgway, the son of the late John and Kathryn Eukon.
He married Barbara M. McAlee, who predeceased him on Sept. 25, 2009.
Mr. Eukon resided in Ridgway all of his life. He was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church. He was the meat manager at the Market Basket and he also worked at Carbide Graphite as a security guard. He enjoyed painting crafts for his grandchildren.
He is survived by a daughter, Debbie Oknefski (Keith) of Ridgway; a son, Philip Eukon of Ridgway; and by two grandchildren, Katie and Corry Oknefski of Ridgway. He was the last of his immediate family.
A prayer service for Edward P. Eukon will be held in the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be Fr. Brian Vossler, pastor of St. Leo Catholic Church. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Friends will be received at the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home on Saturday for one hour prior to the service.
