Edna Lucille (Lucy) Caggeso

Edna Lucille (Lucy) Caggeso, 80, of 246 Country Club Rd., Ridgway, died Friday morning, Jan. 20, 2012 at Highland View Health Care in Brockway following a lengthy illness. She was born Sept. 17, 1931 in Lumber City, Clearfield County, daughter of the late Lawrence (Dorsey) and Catherine (Hornung) Caldwell. She married Daniel F. Caggeso on July 14, 1951; he survives.
She had resided in Ridgway since 1951 and was a former Emporium resident. She was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church. Lucy loved spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting and cooking. She had been employed by Sylvania, Iorfido's, the Hour Glass Cleaners and Widmans.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel F. Caggeso of Ridgway; four daughters, Deborah J. Leslie of Ridgway, Rebecca A. Ryan and husband Dennis of Ridgway, Cynthia M. Olay and her husband Michael of Ridgway and Theresa M. Bjorkquist and her husband Karl of Ridgway; 10 grandchildren, Michelle, Connie, Eric, Lisa, Scott, Jennifer, Craig, Brian, Daniel and Megan; 13 great-grandchildren, Peter, Adrian, Anselmo, Angelina, Kaylee, Jesse, Jacob, Kayla, Keara, Alayna, Tanner, Mykey and Emory; two brothers, Frederick Caldwell and his wife Edna of Emporium and Joseph Caldwell and his wife Bea of Emporium; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Caldwell; and three sisters, Marie Labrozzi, Clara Rinehuls and Dorothy Jean Berry.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Edna Lucille (Lucy) Caggeso will be celebrated at St. Leo Catholic Church on Monday, Jan. 23, 2012 at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Fr. Brian E. Vossler, pastor of St. Leo Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Leo Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A Wake Service will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home on Sunday at 7:45 p.m.
