Edith J. Bogacki

Edith J. Bogacki, 97, of Elk Haven Nursing Home, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 17, 1913, in Rossiter, the daughter of the late Charles and Assunta Nichademas Glasso. On Aug. 27, 1935, she married John J. Bogacki, who predeceased her on March 13, 1989.
Mrs. Bogacki resided in Ridgway since 1951 and was the owner of the Royal Motel. Upon her retirement, she relocated to Florida, where she volunteered at local hospitals and orphanages. She was a member of the Lee Civic Center in Ft. Lauderdale. She was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church and the Holy Cross Church in Ft. Lauderdale. She also had a passion for painting.
She is survived by two sons, Jack F. Bogacki (MaryAnn) and Robert T. Bogacki (Kayleen) both of Ridgway; five grandchildren; and by 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Louis Glasso; five sisters, Josephine Capriross, Rose Senott, Mame Stefish, Mary Brochetti, and Sylvia Chinque. She was the last of her immediate family.
A Memorial Mass for Edith J. Bogacki will be held in St. Leo's Catholic Church at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation.
Funeral arrangements, are under the direction of the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home.
