Dorothy R. Wingard, age 58, a resident at Highlandview Health Care Center in Brockway, died Jan. 15, 2011, at Highlandview.
She was born Jan. 11, 1953, in DuBois, daughter of Vern and Amaryllis Seyler Bloom.
She was married to Richard Wingard, he preceded her in death Nov. 1, 1990.
She was a member of the Bible Fellowship Church at Chestnut Grove.
Dorothy enjoyed crocheting and animals, and she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her mother, Amaryllis Bloom of DuBois; two sons, Brian Wingard of Bradford and Jason Wingard of Punxsutawney; two daughters, Kathleen Picard of DuBois and Christina Pierce of Reynoldsville; four sisters, Marsha Gregor of Grainsboro, N.C., Karen DeBoer and Sally Neiswonger, both of Reynoldsville; and Cheryl Mumford of DuBois. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, husband and two sisters, Jeanette Stretch and Rose Mary Bloom.
Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, Jan. 18 at 1 p.m. at Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. Officiating will be pastor Charles Lee.
Place of burial will be Munderf Cemetery
Memorials, if desired, may be made to S.P.C.A. for the prevention of cruelty to animals or to any local animal shelter.
