Donna J. Mahoney

Donna J. Mahoney, 83, of Ridgmont Assisted Living Facility, Ridgway, formerly of 207 Willow St., Johnsonburg, died early Wednesday morning, April 30, 2014 at Ridgmont Assisted Living Facility, Ridgway, following a lengthy illness.
She was born April 16, 1931 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Albert E. and Thelma E. Smith Fulton.
On Dec. 30, 1950, she married Joseph C. Mahoney. He preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 1994.
She resided in Johnsonburg all her life. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church. She loved crafts and flowers. She was employed at Elk County General Hospital for 20 years before retiring in 1988. She had also worked as the secretary at the Johnsonburg United Methodist Church for several years.
She is survived by three sons, Joseph C. Mahoney Jr. and his wife Carol of Erie, Timothy "Tim" Mahoney and his wife Lisa of Johnsonburg, and Patrick "Pat" Mahoney and his wife Karen of Lehman; two daughters, Kathleen M., Mrs. David Johnson of Erie, and Bonita "Bonnie" Chesson of Lamont, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was the last member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, William Mahoney; and two brothers, Albert and William "Bill" Fulton.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Donna J. Mahoney will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg on Saturday, May 3 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, on Saturday morning from 8:30-9:30 a.m.
