Karen Marzella is a Residential Planner who is set to open her design studio, Casual Elegance, Interiors by Karen located at The Shop on Main in Ridgway.
Marzella is a trained and certified Residential Planner from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
“After being approached by members of the Co-op at The Shop on Main, I came to realize the benefits a showroom would offer to me, my clients and the community,” Marzella said. “The downtown people were so encouraging of me and my dream. And I couldn’t have done this without the support of my friends and family.”
Being involved in design has always been a dream Marzella has held dear to her heart.
“My father had worked at Wolfe Furniture and while he worked there we often talked about starting an Interior Design business together,” said Marzella. “The satisfaction that I get out of fulfilling a dream that I shared with my dad, who has been gone for 25 years, is bittersweet.
