Crusaders reach tourney title game with win over Elkers

The Elk County Catholic Crusaders advanced to the championship game of the 16th annual Elk County Baseball Tournament with a 12-2, five inning victory over the Ridgway Elkers Friday afternoon at Berwind Park.
The Crusaders will meet the St. Marys Flying Dutch today at noon at Berwind Park in the championship game while the Elkers are to meet the Johnsonburg Rams at 10 a.m. this morning in the consolation game.
Elk Catholic pounded out 14 hits in the game Friday led by Dan Singer's three singles. Vincent Jacob, Brad Dippold and Jeff Wehler each had two singles while Luke Hoffman, Jonathan Dippold and Josh Zelinski each had one single.
