JOHNSONBURG – During the regular meeting of the Johnsonburg Borough Council, Cindy Chiesa of the Johnsonburg Community Trust petitioned the council for permission to spruce up the area around the borough parking lot, located along Center Street.
Among the things the Trust has in mind are old-fashioned poles which would be adorned with hanging baskets or banners as well as some large planters to be placed in the area.
"We just want to beautify the town; I think that's the main thing we want to do," Chiesa said.
