Community pool offers swimming lessons

Whether you or your child are looking to learn to swim, have fun, or try something new this summer, the Lyle G. Hall Community Pool is offering a variety of swimming lessons for all ages.
The first session of lessons will run between July 5 to 15 from 10 to 10:45 a.m. and 11 to 11:45 a.m. The second session will begin on July 18 and end on July 29. Lesson will also run begin 10 to 10:45 a.m. and 11 to 11:45 a.m.
"We can teach just about every level, except for the preschoolers, since we don't have a baby pool," said pool supervisor Max Milslagle.
According to Milslagle, lessons are designed for ages five and up.
"As long as they can stand in the shallow section of the pool," Milslagle said. We can take them in and work with them, if they can't stand up in it we can't do much with them."

In addition, the pool will hosting a Hawaiian-themed luau party on July 15 from 7:30 to 10 p.m.
"We are going to have DJ Dave Woods providing the music for a large assortment of fun games, food, and contests this year," Milslagle said. "We also want to have a water volleyball tournament with teams of four to six, so come down and sign up."
