Community pool damage under assessment

May 29, 2014

Photo by Katherine Porter – The Ridgway borough's community pool sustained some damage during last week's flood and is currently undergoing assessment by engineers in order to discern a plan of action for repairs.

The Ridgway borough-owned community pool sustained damage during last week's flood, leaving question as to whether the pool will be open for the summer of 2014.
However, according to borough manager Kim Zimmerman, engineers were scheduled to assess the damage Thursday afternoon and have yet to make a call on the next steps.
"We've got to get the engineering assessment and that will give us a direction once we receive it," Zimmerman said.
