Colonel Charles “Chuck” William Stover, Jr.

Colonel Charles “Chuck” William Stover, Jr., 77, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the Hospice House in Williamsburg, Va. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margaret (Peggy); his children, Brian, Chuck, and Margaret; his six brothers and sisters, Garold, Eudora, Karen, Bob, Cheryl, and John; and his grandchildren, Nathan, Rachel, Braxton, and Morgan.
Retiring in 1987 with more than 30 years of service with the U.S. Army, Colonel Stover willfully served his country in Vietnam, Korea, Germany and multiple locations in the United States to include the Pentagon and the Army War College. He grew up in Ridgway. He was a member of the James City County Lions Club, and the Williamsburg Community Chapel. Chuck was best known for his love of family and friends, and as a sports enthusiast and community volunteer.
Memorial services will be conducted at the Williamsburg Community Chapel located at 3899 John Tyler Highway, Williamsburg, Va. 23185 on Sunday, March 25 at 2 p.m., with interment at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Williamsburg Community Chapel or to Hospice House of Williamsburg at 4445 Powhatan Parkway, Williamsburg, VA 23188.
