Carolyn N. Erlanson

Carolyn N. Erlanson, 88, of 210 N. Broad St., Ridgway died Monday evening on Sept. 3, 2012 at the Lutheran Home at Kane following a brief illness. She was born March 10, 1924 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Anthony and Inez [Deltinto] Catalano. She was married to Elder J. [Bob] Erlanson who preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 2002. She was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church and has been a former girl scout leader. She had been employed by St. Marys Carbon for 25 years.
She is survived by one son, David W. Erlanson of Swan Valley, Idaho; two grandchildren, Carla Romero and her husband Usavio of Bethel, Alaska and David W. Erlanson Jr. of Victor, Idaho; three great-grandchildren, Joe, Wyatt, Lilya Romero of Bethel, Alaska; one brother, Romie Catalano of Emporium; two sisters Julie Kenzel of Ann Arbor, Mich. and Madeline Catalano of Buffalo, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by five brothers, John, Tavy, Albert, Frank and Joseph Catalano; and one sister, Lena Weichman.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Carolyn N. Erlanson will be celebrated at St. Leo Catholic Church on Friday at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Fr. Brian E. Vossler, pastor of St. Leo Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation. Memorials if desired can be made to St. Leo Catholic Church at 111 Depot St., Ridgway, PA 15853.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home.
