Board will vote on budget next week

May 7, 2014

The Ridgway Area School Board of Directors will be voting on a proposed budget during their regular meeting set to be held Tuesday, May 13 at 6 p.m. in the library of Francis S. Grandinetti Elementary School.
The district has been working to make cuts throughout the budget-making process and is currently considering the option of a one-mill tax increase along with the elimination of a custodial position, the current holder of which is set to retire at the close of the school year.
