Ridgway boys basketball upends Curwensville Print E-mail

The Ridgway Elkers won 63-43 over Curwensville Tuesday night at Curwensville High School.
It was Ridgway's second win over the Golden Tide this season complementing a 75-49 win over Curwensville on Dec. 18.
Eric Matheson led Ridgway (9-7) with 24 points. Ben Jaques had 21 points. Matheson had three 3-pointers and Jaques had two for the Elkers.
Ridgway led 16-10 after the first quarter and extended the lead to 35-23 at halftime.
The Elkers put the game away in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Golden Tide by a 22-9 margin to take a 57-32 lead after three quarters.
Jaques led Ridgway with six rebounds. Kevin Marnatti had nine assists to lead the Elkers.
Ridgway travels to face DuBois Central Catholic Thursday night.
