Johnsonburg wrestling gave Port Allegany a tough battle in the semifinals of the District Team Duals Saturday afternoon at DuBois Area High School even though the Gators did advance with a 42-29 win. |

Ridgway wrestling wins district title |

Port Allegany used every bit of strategy possible with their team against the Elkers.
And yet it was not enough to dethrone the district champions.
Ridgway won its fourth consecutive district championship with a 54-12 win over Port Allegany in the district final Saturday afternoon at DuBois Area High School.
The win advances Ridgway to the PIAA Team Duals on Friday and Saturday. Ridgway will face either Fort LeBoeuf (District 10 runner-up) or the loser of the Burrell-Shady Side Academy match for the District 7 title. |

Lady Elkers defeat Sheffield |

The Lady Elkers (6-13) took a 13-9 lead after the first quarter and a 24-16 lead at halftime. |
