Beverly Klancer Sette

Beverly Klancer Sette, 77, of 178 Evers Ave., St. Marys, died at her residence on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, after a lengthy illness.
She was born May 14, 1936 in Gowanda, N.Y., daughter of the late Rudolph and Josephine “Pep” Kordon Klancer Sr. On May 4, 1957 in the Sacred Heart Church, she married Dominick “Nick” Sette who preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 2011.
Mrs. Sette had been a resident of St. Marys since 1948. She attended Consolidated Grade School in St. Marys and Central Catholic High School. She was a former employee of the former Klancer’s Restaurant, the former Klancer’s Grocery and Cafeteria, Sylvania, Sears Roebuck, T&M Market, Burke Brothers, and Crispy Chicken.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church. She enjoyed bowling, going out to eat, and going to the casino. She also enjoyed watching all sports on television and was a Minnesota Vikings fan. She loved her dog, Haydee, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen A. Sette of Mechanicsburg and Tina M. Whiting (Joe Lorenzo) of St. Marys; two sons, Dominick P. “Nick” Sette (Tina Herbstritt) and Tina’s daughter, Megan Herbstritt of St. Marys and John C. Sette (Lisa Challingsworth) of St. Marys; seven grandchildren, Nicos Sette, Sara Sette, Cameron Whiting, Logan Whiting, David Sette, Sophia Sette, and Jayna Sette; a sister, Marsha Bleggi (Donald) of St. Marys; two brothers, Jerry Klancer of Alexandria, Va. and Rudy Klancer, Jr. (Jeannie) of St. Marys; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Francis M. “Frank” Sette, who died on Sept. 4, 1983, and Timothy P. “Moono” Sette, who died June 22, 2013; a grandson, Frankie Sette, who died in infancy; and a sister, Gloria Werneth.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Beverly Klancer Sette will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
