April marks Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Photo submitted – As part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April, area residents are able to purchase a paper "Teal Ribbon" at various locations for a $1 donation to CAPSEA.

A "Teal Ribbon Campaign" is in full swing this month as CAPSEA, Inc. (Citizens Against Physical, Sexual and Emotional Abuse) aims to increase sexual assault awareness.
"We're targeting the younger population," said CAPSEA executive director Billie Jo Weyant. "We as adult community members need to spread more awareness."
As part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April, area residents are able to purchase a paper "Teal Ribbon" at various locations for a $1 donation to CAPSEA.
Locations include Elk County Foods of Ridgway and Johnsonburg, Northwest Savings Bank in Ridgway and St. Marys, Save-A-Lot in St. Marys, and Fox's Pizza Den in Emporium.
