A part-time police officer for three Pittsburgh area communities was one of three men killed in a crash early Saturday morning on the James City hill on Route 66 south of Kane.
State police said the men were headed north in a pickup truck on Route 66 at approximately 1:30 a.m. when the vehicle traveled off of the east side of the roadway and struck a tree on James City hill in Wetmore Township near the border of McKean and Elk counties.
The vehicle hit two more trees before rolling over several times and landing on its roof, police said.
Andrew J. Snarey, 25, of Aliquippa, George Snarey, 60, of Carnegie and Jeffrey Kramer, 28, of McDonald were killed upon impact. Todd Kosenina, 42, of Imperial, was flown to the Hamot Medical Center in Erie for treatment. Police said all were wearing seat belts.
The men were on a hunting trip, police said.
Andrew Snarey worked as a part-time officer in Baden, Harmony and Conway and was an Army veteran.
The crash remains under investigation.
Kosenina's status could not be confirmed Sunday evening. Troopers at the state police barracks in Lantz Corners were unable to provide any further information than contained in the original public information release report.
