June 18, 2014

According to Mike McAllister, director of Elk County's Office of Emergency Services, the total loss of all municipalities in Elk County from the May flood disaster totals approximately $1.7 million.
However, in order to qualify for a public assistance grant, damages must be $17 million. Loans from the Small Business Administration [SBA] will reportedly be the only assistance available. They are available for residents and business owners.
