Curwensville won six of the 11 matches wrestled on the mat but Ridgway was aided by three forfeit wins to take the team victory.
"It was a good team win," Ridgway coach David Fordoski said. "There were obviously matches out there that I felt we could have wrestled a whole lot better in. You got to be happy with what you have as a team. There were times that we lost matches because we didn't have enough kids out there. This year, we have a full lineup and it makes a big difference."
JOHNSONBURG â€“ Johnsonburg girls basketball lost 45-23 to Bradford Wednesday night at Johnsonburg Area High School.
Bradford was led by Rylee Lundgren, she finished with a game-high 19 points for the Lady Owls. Ashley Imbrogno led Johnsonburg with 11 points.
Lundgren opened the scoring with a hoop 35 seconds into the game to give Bradford a 2-0 lead. Imbrogno then followed with a three-pointer off the glass to give the Ramettes a 3-2 lead, the only lead of the game for Johnsonburg.
