During a Ridgway Area School District school board meeting, four students were selected as winners of the district's Student of the Month award.
Elementary school students Jackson Kilpeck and Guilianna Horner joined middle school student Josephine Bevacqua and high school student Jenna DeAngelo as the winners of the award for March.

JOHNSONBURG – Corporal Greg Agosti, a fire marshal for the Ridgway-based State Police, reported investigating a fire that occurred Sunday afternoon at 236 Blaine Ave. in Johnsonburg.

JOHNSONBURG – Area residents are now shaken to the core after the vacant St. Joe's Club in Johnsonburg went up in flames early Monday morning.
The fire, ruled an arson, is the second mysterious fire in four days in Johnsonburg and reportedly broke out shortly after midnight on Monday. Reports indicate the fire started on a second-floor wooden porch and quickly spread throughout the building.
