Marie S. Carlson, 92, of 356 Toby Rd., Kersey died Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh following a brief illness.
She was born June 4, 1918 in Horton Township, daughter of the late Albert and Daisy (Moyer) Schreiber.
On Aug. 30, 1967, she married Charles R. Carlson, who survives.
Mona C. Assalone, 80, of Melio Lane, Weedville died Saturday, December 25, 2010 at Pinecrest Manor following a short illness.
She was born August 23, 1930 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Anson and Ethel (Allen) Harlan.
She married Albert Assalone Sr. on April 30, 1949. He preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 1987.
She lived all her life in St. Marys and Bennetts Valley. She was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Presbyterian Church in St. Marys and also attended Weedville Wesleyan Church.
She enjoyed babysitting for family and friends, and especially taking a Sunday drive in the car.
JOHNSONBURG â€“Â Despite another dual meet loss Tuesday night at home against visiting Brockway, the Rams saw several bright spots in their short lineup.

Helen J. Metro, 93, of Hartley Manor Assisted Living Community, 10171 Johnny Cake Ridge Rd., Concord, Ohio, died Monday afternoon, Dec. 20, 2010 at Tri-Point Medical Center in Concord Township, Ohio following a brief illness.
She was born Feb. 26, 1917 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Nicholas and Julia Hartz Lazore. On Nov. 4, 1944, in Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg she married John Metro, who preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1982.
Frances M. Nashadka, 82, of 101 North Mill St., Ridgway died unexpectedly Saturday evening at her residence.
She was born Feb. 13, 1928 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Stanley and Waltrude (Kazmierski) Simchick. She married Felix Fashadka Jr. on May 14, 1949 and he preceded her in death.
She had resided in Ridgway for the last 24 years and was a former Johnsonburg and Wilcox resident. She was a graduate of the Johnsonburg High School and had attended the Duff Iron City Business School. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ridgway.
Harry Alvin â€śAlâ€ť Brian Sr., 87, of 3460 Grant Rd., passed away at his residence on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010. He was born Oct. 5, 1923, in Ridgway, the son of Reed L. and Mable I. Mattren Brian. On Aug. 24, 1946, he married Jean Buehler, she survives.
Alice M. Carobine, age 79, of 202 Taylor Ave., Ridgway, died Tuesday morning at the DuBois Nursing Home following a brief illness. She was born July 10, 1931 in Force, daughter of the late Ettore and Irene (Trentine) Zuchelli. She married Geno Carobine on April 18, 1953, he survives. She had resided in Ridgway for 57 years and was a former resident of Force. She was a graduate of the Weedville High School. She was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church.
Virginia Petitti, age 87, of 5140 Rt. 219 Brockport, died Dec. 12, 2010 at DuBois Regional Medical Center.
Born Jan. 7, 1293 in Rasselas to John and Katherine Eukon, Virginia was married to Michael E. Carlini and he died in August of 1964. She was then married to William "Bill" Petitti on Oct. 1, 1966, he survives.
She was a member of Holy Cross Church at Brandy Camp and was a member of the Horton Twp. Sportsmens Club. Shw as a homemaker who also enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and cutting the grass with her John Deere tractor.
Victoria L. â€śVickiâ€ť Caros, age 61, of Johnsonburg, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010 at Pinecrest Manor of St. Marys after a short illness.
She was born Sept. 7, 1949 in Brookville, daughter of James Clifford, deceased, and Jeanne (Fredericks) Clifford, who survives in Daguscahonda.
A homemaker and Catholic by faith, she loved animals and pets.Â She enjoyed volunteering her time to help neighbors and friends, and lived most of her life in the Ridgway and Johnsonburg area.
Paul Richard Dearbeck, Sr., 85, of Irving Ave, Ridgway, died Dec. 6, 2010 at home.
He was born April 9, 1925 in Erie, son of the late Jay S. and Marjorie (Brown) Dearbeck. Paul was preceded in death by daughter, Judith L. Dearbeck; sisters, Irene Moses and Joan Dearbeck; and brother, Dale Dearbeck.
He was a WWII Veteran serving in England, North Africa, and Italy.
Paul is survived by his wife, Nancy (Long) Dearbeck; daughter, Linda Zukoski and fiancĂ©, Jeff Haggerty of Brookville; and a step-daughter, Tanya Merritt and husband, Rick of Florida.
