Wilcox Legion wins playoff opener

JOHNSONBURG – Wilcox opened the Elk County American Baseball League playoffs with a 10-3 win over Port Allegany Tuesday night at Knothole Park in Johnsonburg in winner's bracket action in the double-elimination tournament.
Wilcox was off to a fast start adding a run in the first and six runs in the second inning to burst out to a quick 7-0 lead.

Benjamin "Ben" Imbrogno, 21, of 30 River Rd., New York, N.Y., died Saturday morning, July 6, 2013 at Elk Regional Health Center in St. Marys.
He was born October 6, 1991 in St. Vincent's Hospital in New York, N.Y., son of Richard C. and Naomi August Imbrogno.
He resided in New York City all his life. He graduated from New York City Museum School in 2009 and attended Brothers of Manhattan Community College.
