Margie Rose "Babe" Cherry, age 83, of 5000 Whitehaven Court, Richmond, Va., formerly of Northridge, Calif., died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013 at Autumn Care, Hanover, Va. following a lengthy illness.
She was born July 2, 1930 in Kane, the daughter of Gustav and Elsie Shaffer Johnson.
She was married to Victor "Vito" Cherry on Jan. 13, 1948 in Johnsonburg. He died Dec. 21, 2000.
She had resided in Virginia since 2009, and formerly lived in California. She graduated from Kane High School in 1947.
Gary W. Brown, 73, of 5847 Beechwood Rd., Emporium, died at Elk Haven Nursing Home, St. Marys on Sunday morning, Oct. 20, 2013.
He was born Jan. 25, 1940 in Ridgway, a son of the late Guy A. "Bill" and Lois Gibbs Brown.
On Nov. 30, 1957 in Brookville, he married Judith Pendleton Brown, who survives.
