Patsy (Pat) Sette, age 83, of Erie, died Thursday evening, Aug. 1, 2013 at the Erie VA Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 9, 1930, in Lockport, N.Y., son of the late Frank and Concettina (Curato) Sette. Patsy is the husband of Anne Marie Piccirillo, whom he married on Feb. 15, 1958 at St. Leo Catholic Church in Ridgway.
He was a graduate of St. Leo High School, the Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis, Minn., the American College of Technology in Chicago, Ill., with an A.D. in Cereal Chemistry, and Wilson School of Cake Decorating in Chicago, Ill.
Betty R. Duell died on Friday, July 19, 2013, at The Lutheran Retirement Village at Utz Terrace, surrounded by those who loved her.
She was the widow of Elmer Duell who died in 1983.She was born in Johnsonburg on Nov. 13, 1932, the daughter of the late Edgar and Helen Heglen.
Betty was a homemaker and worked as the receptionist at The Brethren Home. She loved helping others and was known for her love of baking. She was also known for her wonderful fudge. She is survived by her sisters, Ethel Stiles and Joyce Schreiber and husband, Laverne; and her brother, Edgar Heglen and wife, Linda.
Four Boy Scouts from Ridgway Troop 93 joined over 35,000 other Boy Scouts from around the United States and 24 other countries at the 2013 Boy Scouts of America (BSA) National Jamboree in West Virginia.

Richard E. Reitz, formerly of Wilcox, died on Monday, July 29, 2013 at the Masonic Village Health Care Center, Elizabethtown.
Born in Ridgway, he was the son of the late Damon and Edna Green Reitz.
He was the husband of Elizabeth Mecca Reitz of Elizabethtown and his first wife, Verna Summers Reitz, who died in 1993.
He retired as a machinist in Palmyra, and also worked at the Johnsonburg Paper Mill. He was a member of Palm Lutheran Church, Palmyra and past master of Masonic Lodge #675 F&AM, Johnsonburg.
Anne E. Defibaugh, 82, of 432 Lookout Ave., Ridgway, died July 30, 2013, at Pinecrest Manor.
She was born May 27, 1931, in Port Allegany, the daughter of Gordan and Signe Erickson Edgar.
On February 23, 1952, she married Howard Defibaugh, he survives.
Mrs. Defibaugh was Methodist by faith. She had been employed by North Penn Gas Co., Hamlin Bank and Trust Co., and by Producerâ€™s Bank. She moved to Ridgway with her family in 1974. She was active with the Bloodmobile, American Cancer Society, Hospital Aux. Thrifty Shop and she was on the Board of the Elk County Historical Society.
With football season coming quickly, Ridgway football hosted coaches from Carnegie Mellon University for the second straight year for a 2-day camp to learn the intricacies of the Wing-T offense.
