Brockway wrestling won 35-27 over Ridgway Tuesday night at Ridgway Area High School in the home opener for the Elkers.
Brockway won six of the nine matches wrestled on the mat. The Rovers received two forfeits while the Elkers received one. Two weights had no match.

Sunday evening, area residents gathered at the gazebo along Main Street for a candle lighting ceremony in memory of children who have passed away. Louise M. Faulkner, 95, of 675 Montmorenci Rd., Ridgway, died Friday evening, Dec. 6, 2013 at the Ridgmont Assisted Living Facility.
She was born July 13, 1918 in New York City, daughter of the late Pancrazio and Henrietta (Mott) Papale.
She had resided in New York City all of her life and in Ridgway for the last six years. She was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in New York City. Louise was a graduate of Hunters College. She has been employed by Bellview Hospital in New York City for 45 years as a nurse.
Randall N. "Randy" Bauer, 41, recently of Greenville, S.C., and formerly of St. Marys, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013 following a short illness.
He was born Jan. 7, 1972 in St. Marys, a son of Dennis N. and Joyce Nekuza Bauer, of St. Marys.
Ridgway Borough Council on Friday afternoon voted to advertise their 2014 budget proposal which features no tax hike.
