Johnsonburg track and field split the two meets in action against Kane Tuesday afternoon at Kane High School.
Johnsonburg won the girls meet 89-50. Kane won the boys meet 115-30.

Armed with a cooperative sports agreement between Ridgway and host school Johnsonburg, the Ramettes on Tuesday scored a 2-1 win over visiting Elk County Catholic in a softball game held at Francis S. Grandinetti Elementary School in Ridgway.
Starting pitcher Alexa Marciniak scattered one hit and an unearned run in five innings of work for the Ramettes before giving way to relief pitcher Taylor Roseto who secured the win with two scoreless innings.
Missed opportunities were becoming the norm as St. Marys Area and Ridgway continued to pile up zeroes on the linescore Tuesday afternoon.
St. Marys broke that trend in the ninth, broke the scoreless tie and came away with the victory.

JOHNSONBURG â€“ The Rams quickly settled down after early gaffes Monday in time to watch a masterful Cole Peterson strike out 15 batters en route to a 6-2 complete game win over visiting Eisenhower.
After a few errors marred the opening inning, and put the Rams in a 2-0 hole, Peterson settled down while his teammates lit up mound opponent Shane Arford for six runs for a 6-2 win.

The Johnsonburg girls track and field team took the team championship at the Kane Invitational held Saturday afternoon at Kane High School.
Johnsonburg won the girls team event with a team score of 126 points. Kane was second at 97 points while Elk County Catholic was third with 81 points. St. Marys finished fourth with 51 points and Punxsutawney rounded out the top five with 37 points. A total of 15 teams competed.
The Johnsonburg boys track and field team took part in the Kane Invitational held Saturday.
Johnsonburg finished 12th in the team standings with 18 points. Kane was the overall boys team champion with 108 points. Punxsutawney was second with 72 points and Elk County Catholic took third with 48 points. Brookville finished fourth at 44 points and Oswayo Valley placed fifth with 42 points.
CJ Herbstritt was the javelin winner for Johnsonburg with a throw of 159-6. Teammate Eric Bevacqua was fifth with a mark of 145-1.
