The Elk County Major League All-Star Team (11- and 12-year-olds) won their first game of the all-star tournament 18-5 when they traveled to Brockway Monday night.
ST. MARYS â€“ The St. Marys American Legion Post 103 team hosted Wilcox for a doubleheader on Monday at Berwind Park, with the teams splitting the victories. St. Marys won the first game in a 12-0 shutout while Wilcox claimed an 11-6 victory in the second game.
The Ridgway American Legion baseball team lost 13-1 in five innings to Smethport in action Monday evening at Sandy Beach Recreational Park.
Smethport scored six runs in the first inning and five runs in the fifth inning to help propel them to the victory.

Led by a complete-game shutout by Neil MacDonald, Wilcox defeated Ridgway 8-0 in American Legion baseball action Friday night.
MacDonald allowed four hits, all singles, walked three and struck out five for Wilcox.
STATE COLLEGE â€“Â One step made all the difference in the Elk County Catholic Crusaders winning the PIAA Class A Baseball Championship 2-1 in regulation and losing it 2-1 to Devon Prep in extra innings.
Senior Vincent Jacob led off the first inning with a double, went to third on a wild pitch, and came home as Ivan Wortman flied out for the second out of the inning. Jacob's run appeared to give the Crusaders an early lead, but Devon Prep checked to see if he had left early, and the umpires ruled that he had, negating the run and resulting in the third out for Elk Catholic.
