Ridgway wrestling used a multitude of bonus points to take a 51-21 win over Port Allegany in a dual meet held Saturday afternoon at Ridgway Area High School.

Curwensville won six of the 11 matches wrestled on the mat but Ridgway was aided by three forfeit wins to take the team victory.
"It was a good team win," Ridgway coach David Fordoski said. "There were obviously matches out there that I felt we could have wrestled a whole lot better in. You got to be happy with what you have as a team. There were times that we lost matches because we didn't have enough kids out there. This year, we have a full lineup and it makes a big difference."
JOHNSONBURG â€“ Johnsonburg girls basketball lost 45-23 to Bradford Wednesday night at Johnsonburg Area High School.
Bradford was led by Rylee Lundgren, she finished with a game-high 19 points for the Lady Owls. Ashley Imbrogno led Johnsonburg with 11 points.
Lundgren opened the scoring with a hoop 35 seconds into the game to give Bradford a 2-0 lead. Imbrogno then followed with a three-pointer off the glass to give the Ramettes a 3-2 lead, the only lead of the game for Johnsonburg.
JOHNSONBURG â€“ Although the Rams lost in the team aspect, Johnsonburg ended the night on a positive note.
A Joey Elinski pin would give the Johnsonburg grapplers its lone win on the mat during a 55-12 win over Brockway Tuesday night at Johnsonburg Area High School.

JOHNSONBURG â€“Â Turnovers and poor shooting may have cost the Rams the game Monday night as the Brookville boys basketball team escaped a sloppy fourth quarter by both teams for a 39-37 victory over Johnsonburg.
The Rams led by as many as six points in the third quarter but were unable to completely close the door on the visiting Raiders.
A 9-0 Brookville run after halftime spurred the Lady Raiders to a 44-26 win over the Ridgway Lady Elkers Monday night at Ridgway Area High School.
Ridgway gymnastics won 104.15-102.625 over Bellefonte in a home meet held Saturday afternoon at Francis S. Grandinetti Elementary School.
Ridgway freshman Hailey Hoffman was the vault, beam and floor exercise event winner Saturday and took the all-around event with a score of 32.375.

Johnsonburg fell behind 17-4 after the first eight minutes and were unable to make up the deficit in a 48-35 defeat to the Coudersport Lady Falcons Saturday evening at the Johnsonburg Tip-Off Tournament held at Johnsonburg Area High School.
