Crusaders rally to beat Ridgway

The Elk County Catholic Crusaders overcame a 13-point Ridgway Elker lead midway in the third quarter to register a 48-46 AML win Friday night at the ECCHS gym.
The Crusaders trailed 36-23 with 4:45 left in the third period.

Lady Elkers honor seniors

February 8, 2014

Ridgway girls basketball lost 59-29 to Smethport Friday night at Ridgway Area High School.
Before the game, the Lady Elkers honored their five seniors, Sarah Szczotka, Kiki Woodford, Jenni Thomas, Dani Shirey and Ange DeAngelo. The five seniors also sang the national anthem before the game.

Lady Rovers defeat Ramettes, 42-32

JOHNSONBURG – Brockway girls basketball won 42-32 over Johnsonburg in action Thursday night at Johnsonburg Area High School.
Brockway took control of the game in the first quarter as the Lady Rovers led 19-5 after just eight minutes.
"That seems to be our MO this season. We have a slow start," Johnsonburg coach Crystal Galsick said. "If we could just get off the bench like we play the second half, I think a lot of our losses would be wins."

Ramettes rally past Ridgway, 35-26

A pressing defense helped Johnsonburg girls basketball overcome a halftime deficit and take a 35-26 victory over Ridgway Tuesday night at Ridgway Area High School.
Ridgway led 15-11 at halftime.

Ridgway boys basketball wins on Senior Night

Ridgway's seniors filled up the stat sheet and filled up the win column for the Elkers on Senior Night.
A strong effort by the Ridgway seniors helped the Elkers to a 68-40 win over Sheffield Friday night at Ridgway Area High School.
Seniors Joe Horning, Dustin Cowan and Mason Stark were honored before the game.

Poor 1st quarter dooms Ramettes in 51-42 loss

JOHNSONBURG – Starting off on the wrong foot Friday night doomed the Ramettes.
Johnsonburg and Curwensville were evenly matched for three quarters but the Ramettes were unable to overcome at 14-3 first-quarter deficit, succumbing to a 51-42 loss.
