ST. MARYS – The Ridgway Lady Elker volleyball team handed the St. Marys Area Lady Dutch a 3-0 setback last night at the SMAHS Dutch Oven.
The Lady Elkers won the first set by a 28-26 score. They took the second set 25-15 and won the third set 25-13 to win the match.
JOHNSONBURG – The Ramettes turned in a worthwhile performance Thursday but fell short against a powerful DuBois tennis team in a 9-0 defeat.
"DuBois is an outstanding team," said Johnsonburg head girls varsity tennis coach Gregg Dauber. "We played well but when we made some shots, [DuBois] made better shots. You can tolerate losing and playing well, and we never like losing, but playing as well as we did and still losing makes it easier to deal with."
