13 new records set at D9 AA track and field championships

BROOKVILLE – By the time the 2012 PIAA District 9 AA Track and Field Championships were over on Friday evening at Brookville Area High School, several District 9 records had fallen as athletes strove to qualify for the PIAA state meet.
In addition to Elk County Catholic High School's Kennedy Weisner's record-setting performances in the girls' 800-meter run and 1600-meter run, six other records were broken in the girls' events on Friday.
